摘要
In recent years, China has emphasized the “Five Educations” policy, aiming to fully explore and promote the educational value of outstanding traditional culture while adhering to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. As a vital component of Chinese intangible cultural heritage (ICH), puppet theater embodies rich aesthetic, historical, and humanistic values. Its unique artistic expressions and profound cultural heritage provide valuable resources for aesthetic education in higher education institutions. Integrating puppet theater culture into educational practices not only facilitates the creative transformation and innovative development of this ICH but also strengthens cultural confidence by fostering cultural identity, thereby reinforcing the foundation of ideological and political education in universities. This study, based on the puppet theater club at Nanjing Medical University, explores the pathways and feasibility of incorporating ICH puppet theater into higher education and examines its impact on aesthetic education and healthy lifestyles among college students.
