As the vital force of national economic development, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play an irreplaceable role in promoting economic growth, stimulating technological innovation and expanding employment channels. However, in the fierce market competition, SMEs have been in a passive position in the competition for talents, and the problem of weak talent attraction has become a key bottleneck restricting their high-quality development. Based on the perspective of business administration and human resource management, this paper combines authoritative literature data and typical enterprise cases, systematically combs the current situation of talent attraction of SMEs, deeply excavates the core pain points in the process of talent introduction, retention and development, and explores targeted and operable improvement paths. The research finds that the current talent attraction of SMEs is characterized by single talent structure, high turnover rate of core talents and low matching degree of talent supply and demand; the pain points mainly focus on insufficient competitiveness of salary and welfare, imperfect career development system, weak employer brand and inadequate human resource management mechanism; on this basis, from the four dimensions of optimizing incentive mechanism, improving career development channel, shaping characteristic employer brand and standardizing human resource management, this paper puts forward practical strategies to enhance the talent attraction of SMEs, aiming to provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for solving the talent dilemma of SMEs and promoting their sustainable development.
